Expansion Joints:

Bridge deck expansion joints have always been considered a necessary evil for bridges. They are problematic during design and construction, and require detailed attention while being maintained throughout the life of the bridge.
Our bridge expansion joints span the space between the decking and the abutments on viaducts and bridges. They absorb movement caused by high traffic volumes, high winds and contraction and expansion from temperature variations.
Each expansion joint has two sections. The first is the bridging module, a strong rubber plate that spans the structural opening between the abutment and the bridge deck.
The second is the movement module, which absorbs movements of the bridge deck.
Horizontal safety anchor bars strengthen the entire unit and prevent sagging.
Main Application:
  • Bridges
  • Overpasses and car parks
  • Foot bridges

    Features:
  • Fatigue Resistant     Modular expansion joint assemblies are subjected to millions of high dynamic stress cycles due to passing vehicle loads. Recognizing the significance of these dynamic loads on the long-term performance of expansion joint systems, we became the special company to introduce fatigue-resistant design principles to modular expansion joint assemblies. It is strongly recommended that a specification which includes fatigue design provisions be included in the contract documents.
  • Fatigue Resistant     Our Expansion Joint System not only bridges the joint gap but also protects the structure from premature corrosion. Design of the strip seal sealing element is based on compression of the neoprene seal lug into the gland recess of the centerbeam and edge beam. This mechanically-locked neoprene seal not only provides excellent watertight characteristics but also achieves high pullout resistance.
